Thoughts, Feelings & More Updates

I’ve spent a significant amount of the past months alone as I work on this project. It hit me, the irony of it all the other night that while I was pursuing a huge dream of mine - to publish a book that is now becoming a book series. My books are inspired by my and my friends’ experiences, yet here I am alone, proofreading, formatting, and writing. I took alternating short breaks from posting more blogs and live social media posts to focus on my health and overall lifestyle. I also tried seeing friends more often but it was difficult as I do work a day job. My thoughts are that I am at least trying my best to balance this entire experience with my normal life, which I do have.

Here are my feelings. I am incredibly lonely at the moment. I am dissatisfied that I cannot see my friends and family more often. I am annoyed that the book writing and publishing processes are so unnecessarily time consuming. It took me five years to complete my first. The second while drafted MUCH faster, may still take over a year to publish. When aspiring writers consider penning their manuscript, the focus tends to be on the creative process. One thing I wish I would have realized going into this is how much backend work needs to be done to publish, whether one is indie or within a publishing house. Fortunately I am confident about my series as the first book is finally out.

On a happier note, thank you all so much for supporting me and my work. Here are updates regarding the Disorderly Conduct Series:
